Position Overview

Vivid Imagination Inc. is seeking an experienced, energetic, and student-centered Drone Coach to deliver high-quality drone education and Drone Soccer programming in schools across New York City. This role works with students in grades 2–12, introducing them to drone technology, flight skills, safety, and competitive play while fostering confidence, teamwork, and curiosity about future careers in STEM and aviation.

 

The ideal candidate is both technically capable and deeply committed to youth development—someone who can engage students with diverse learning styles, maintain a safe and structured environment, and bring excitement and professionalism into the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate drone instruction for students in grades 2–12
• Facilitate hands-on drone flight lessons with a strong emphasis on safety and skill-building
• Teach drone safety protocols, FAA guidelines, and responsible flight practices
• Introduce and coach students in Drone Soccer, including rules, strategy, and competitive techniques
• Facilitate structured drone soccer matches and gameplay
• Manage, maintain, and properly store drone equipment and accessories
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles, skill levels, and age groups
• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with school staff to support program integration and smooth implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience teaching or coaching drones (preferred, not required)
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• FAA Part 107 certification (preferred, not required)
• Familiarity with Drone Soccer (a plus; training provided)
• Strong understanding of drone technology, flight mechanics, and safety regulations
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Comfortable working with students across a wide age range
• Flexible availability during school hours
• Willingness to travel between school sites throughout NYC

3D Modeling Coach/ Instructor

Vivid Imagination Inc. is seeking creative, tech-savvy 3D Modeling Facilitators to teach and inspire students across New York City public schools. This role introduces students in grades 2–12 to 3D modeling, digital design, and virtual reality using industry tools such as Blender and Tinkercad.

 

The ideal candidate is both a skilled 3D modeler and an engaging educator who can translate complex concepts into accessible, hands-on learning experiences that build confidence, creativity, and technical fluency.

• Integrate 3D modeling projects into academic content when applicable (STEM, Social Studies, Science, etc.)
• Incorporate 3D printing concepts and workflows when available
• Adapt instruction to multiple age groups, learning styles, and skill levels
• Collaborate with school staff to support program alignment and success
• Maintain and properly manage 3D modeling equipment and VR headsets
• Foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency in Blender (required)
• Experience teaching or mentoring youth (preferred)
• Familiarity with virtual reality tools and headsets
• Strong communication and classroom facilitation skills
• Patient, adaptable, and student-centered teaching approach
• Comfortable working with elementary through high school students
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Availability during school-day hours
• Willingness to travel to multiple school sites across the five boroughs
